In the past, a voice such as Brass Quartet (brass quartet) used a sample of four musicians, which sounded great. With the Tyros5's Ensemble Voices, you always have the same number of musicians because the Tyros5 has the musical knowledge of a professional music arranger. Play two notes at once with a Brass Quartet Ensemble voice and the Tyros5 will send the top notes to the trumpets and the low notes to the trombones; which really gives an incredibly realistic sound.

Ensemble Voices also use parameters that enliven playing by reproducing the subtle variations in timing as heard in a real ensemble. This creates an authentic sound that sounds like a group of real musicians playing, allowing you to enjoy playing like an instrumental quartet with ease.

Audio Styles adds forty new percussion-based styles to the Tyros5's impressive backing and accompaniment capabilities, providing a natural feel, ambience and warmth to drum and percussion parts, offering even greater expressive possibilities. Audio Styles also takes full advantage of Yamaha's Time Stretch technology, allowing the audio to follow your tempo changes without changing pitch. So everything stays perfectly in sync.

Enhanced DSPs for authentic effects that give you "just that" sound:

Not only does the Tyros5 feature new high-quality effect types, including Real Distortion and Real Reverb, it also provides beautifully designed control panel displays, with highly intuitive operating controls - just like on real devices. The DSPs also feature VCM (Virtual Circuit Modeling) effects that use the same technology as the professional effect processors on Yamaha's top-of-the-line mixers.

Real Reverb:

Real Reverb (real reverb) is an improved version of the reverb technology found in previous versions of the Tyros. New algorithms take a greater number of factors into account, resulting in smoother, more natural reverb effects.

Real Distortion:

Real Distortion effects (real distortion) are based on digital models of legendary guitar amps from the 1960s and 1970s. They are also digital models of renowned analog guitar effects pedals. The result is an extremely accurate reproduction of the frequencies and dynamics of real distorted guitar sounds. The new, intuitive graphic interface makes you feel like you are controlling the original amp!

VCM (Virtual Circuit Modeling):

While digital solutions are becoming more common in music production studios and on stages, older analog equipment is still used to get that warm sound that digital effects usually cannot provide. VCM technology provides the accurate reproduction of the classic sound of such effect devices.

A versatile, high-performance audio engine that gives you total control over your sound:

Capable of displaying and recording audio files (including performances using Audio Styles), the Tyros5 also has a range of audio manupilation features that you can use to create "minus-1" karaoke-style tracks, in the key and at the tempo you desire.

Audio Link Multi Pad:

The Audio Link Multi Pad feature allows you to link your own audio files (sound effects, vocal or speech phrases, etc.) to the pads, triggering them via playing through the pads.

Vocal Cancel:

The powerful Vocal Cancel (voice cancellation) feature effectively cancels or suppresses signals such as voices and solos that play a significant role in an audio file. This allows you to create your own "minus-1" track and sing in karaoke style with only instrumental accompaniment.

Time Stretch and Pitch Shift:

Not all people have the same vocal range. The Tyros5 can put your favorite song in your preferred key with the powerful pitch shift function that lets you change the key without changing the tempo. If you want to change the tempo, you can use the tempo shift function to increase or decrease the tempo without changing the pitch.

Style control with the right hand:

The Tyros5 allows you to create up to three split points anywhere on the keyboard. This provides the flexibility, for example, to assign a different voice to each zone. The Tyros5's accompaniment styles can now be controlled by the chords played in the right hand of the split zones, allowing you to play bass parts manually with your left hand.

Crossfader:

The crossfader allows you to adjust the volume balance between MIDI song playback and audio file playback. Moving the slider to the left increases the volume of MIDI song playback, and moving the slider to the right increases the volume of audio file playback.

Panel Lock:

Lock the panel to prevent changing settings while away from the instrument - the perfect feature for those performing live.

4 Sub Outputs:

The Tyros5 features four Sub Out line outputs that you can use to adapt your sound to any playing situation. For example, you can send a specific part to an amplified monitor box or send a different sound to the hall PA.

New design:

The Tyros5 features a metallic silver body (titanium finish) so it appears to be formed out of metal, giving it an exclusive, high-tech look. We have also paid attention to the function and location of the control buttons, so that people who are already familiar with operating the Tyros can operate the new model that way without difficulty and worry.
