The Yamaha Tio1608-D2 is a Dante-connected I/O rack equipped with 16 XLR/TRS combo inputs and 8 balanced XLR outputs. With this digital i/o rack you expand the Yamaha TF and DM series considerably (up to a maximum of 3 units). You can connect the I/O box via daisy-chain to your Yamaha mixer using a simple CAT5e Ethernet cable to transmit high-quality audio with extra-low latency. No more hassle with heavy, analog snakes!
Dante:
Using the Dante Network Audio Protocol results in low jitter, low latency and very accurate sampling accuracy. Fortunately, you don't need much IT/networking knowledge to configure the Tio1608-D2 rack. The Dante network protocol is also extremely flexible and allows you to connect Yamaha consoles to other Dante equipment (such as the Yamaha R Series I/O racks).
The Quick Config mode on the Tio1608-D2 automatically configures your system configuration, including network settings and audio patching. Handy!
Set the Quick Config up both your TF or DM mixer and your Tio-Rack, daisy chain your system with a cable and you're ready to go right away.
