The sound of the Yamaha P-S500 is, in a word, great. The sound is based on two great, famous concert grand pianos; the Yamaha CFX and the Bösendorfer Imperial. This sound combined with the GHS keyboard gives you the same playing feel as if you were playing one of these famous concert grand pianos. Even those who still need to exercise their wrist and finger muscles have been thought of; you can set the touch sensitivity yourself.
Stream Light system
The most impressive and innovative feature of the P-S500 is of course the new Stream Light system that teaches you to play a new song at your own pace. View the sheet music via the app and see the corresponding note via the LED indicators on the instrument. This way you can study a song at your own pace without the frustration of a too high tempo or searching for corresponding notes. There are also influences from the DGX series, so there are rhythms in it and also many more sounds than just pianos. So you can switch from keyboard to grand piano sounds without effort. The polyphony of 256 ensures that you do not get cut off notes and you can connect a microphone so that you can sing directly in addition to playing.
In terms of input there is an AUX available so you can connect your phone, play music and play along with the music. Also handy about this is that you can connect a tablet, for example, and together with the Yamaha Smart Pianist app you create even more additional possibilities for the piano.
