Following the success of the P-125, Yamaha has revived its most popular entry-level piano with the P-225. The popularity of the P-125 was undeniable in recent years and has become a standard in its class. The P-225 builds on this by retaining the key features of the P-125 and improving where needed. Now in an extra compact chassis to make the already compact P series even more manageable while maintaining the sound and playing quality. Indeed, the P-225 features the 88-key weighted Graded Hammer Compact (GHC) keyboard that allows for fluid and expressive playing.
The biggest advantage of the P-225 is of course that it uses Yamaha's well-known CFX sample with Virtual Resonance Modeling lite. This provides an unprecedented piano sound from a device of its size and price range. This was always the strength of the P-125 and it is great to see that they have not only continued this in the P-225 but also refined it.
Extras
The P-225 includes 24 different voices including pianos, digital pianos, strings, organs and more. Compared to the 145, these voices are also a lot easier to navigate directly on the piano itself. Also, the demo/song, metronome, rhythm and recording functions are easy and convenient to operate directly from the piano. The P-225 also has the ability to play these voices both Dual (two voices simultaneously) and Duo (one voice left and one voice right). To avoid sound problems even in this setting, the P-225 has a 192-note polyphony. So it is virtually impossible to exceed this polyphony. Also, of course, the P-225 is compatible with Yamaha's Smart Pianist app. This app allows you to control all functions of the piano with your tablet or phone and also offers 303 lessons and a record and share function. In addition to this app, the USB function allows you to send both midi and audio directly to your computer for high quality recordings directly into a DAW or to control virtual instruments.
In addition to this USB function, it is also possible to output a stereo line signal with the assigned line-outs. This feature also makes it possible to play the P-225 live on a stage or in the practice room.
Bluetooth audio!
And even if you think that's all the P-225 offers one more very nice feature. Bluetooth audio! Learning a new song or playing along with a backing track or drum track has never been easier. Simply connect your phone or tablet to the piano and play along live with your favorite artists, take online lessons or create your own melodies among your favorite backing tracks.Specifications
