Advanced DSP Processing
Our Klundert Engineers are impressed with the DZR12W's smart DSP processing. Yamaha's Advanced FIR-X tuning uses a combination of FIR filtering and corrective EQ to minimize phase distortion, ensuring smooth frequency response, stunning clarity and accurate sound reproduction. D-Contour is an intelligent multi-band compressor that maintains ultimate clarity even when you drive the DZR12 to its highest output level. D-Contour has two settings, FOH/MAIN and MONITOR mode, so you can tailor the DZR12's sound to any application. You also get DSP limiters that protect both the power supply, power amplifiers and transducers from damage. Despite all this powerful DSP, the DZR12 remains user-friendly, thanks to optimized factory settings and an intuitive LCD screen.
Custom speakers
The Yamaha DZR-12W features great-sounding, custom-designed speakers. The HF (high frequency) transducer includes a 2-inch voice coil and 1-inch compression driver, a titanium diaphragm and neodymium magnet in a heat-resistant aluminum frame. The LF (low-frequency) transducer uses a large 3-inch voice coil, a die-cast aluminum frame and a powerful but lightweight neodymium magnet to handle the DZR12's bass (12-inch LF driver). The DZR12 is not just about power, however. Its low-end response is tightly controlled, especially in the mid-bass and vocal range.
Smart, ultraflexible design
The DZR12 fits into any configuration, thanks to its ultraflexible design. Its rotatable horn allows vertical or horizontal mounting. The speaker has a 90x60° dispersion from a vertical position. Thanks to the DZR12's constant-direction horn, you get smooth, flat coverage - the innovative design minimizes the roll-off that conventional horns often cause.
