This Old Boy T is a traditional Tele Custom-style guitar with a quirky Cabronita twist; the half pickguard and rear-mounted controls give this guitar a bold look while the double bound ivory body is luxurious and refined. The guitar sounds the way it looks; fierce and in your face but has fat basses and creamy mids too. The rosewood fingerboard gives the guitar a warm character and with its sustain and thick, "woody" tone this is a great Tele for rockers with a an old soul, but above all very inspiring; this is one of those guitars that makes playing just effortless.
The maple neck is chuncky with a very slight V shape and a fingerboard radius of 9.5". The body is made of alder and finished with a thin nitrocellulose lacquer. This improves resonance of the guitar and "liveliness" of sound, but above all gives the Old Boy T a very natural feel and look. The aging is beautifully subtle; with its cracked finish and the dullness of the paint and hardware, it's as if this guitar has been on stage with you for many years. Feels like coming home!
