The Warm Audio PREM-XLR-6' is an XLR(male) - XLR(female) audio cable. The cable has a length of 1.8 mtr. This professional balanced XLR cable is ideal for use in the studio or on stage. For example, use this cable to connect your microphone to your mixer, pre-amp or audio interface. Or to connect studio gear.
Tip: The output level of a microphone is very low, therefore the influence of noise, radiation or cable resistance is high. Therefore, we recommend always using a good, shielded cable. These Warm audio cables are top quality and make a difference when amplifying your microphone signal!

The highest quality cable available
Warm cables give you the highest possible quality at a price that is affordable for everyone. The construction is rugged enough to offer a lifetime warranty. Manufacturer Gotham is known as the original supplier to some of the top manufacturers in the industry (their 3 core cable was known as "the Neumann cable" for decades), and Gotham's techniques and technology now represent today's state-of-the-art quality.
Premier vs. Pro
Warm makes two lines of cable - Premier and Professional - to offer the widest range of options and the highest possible quality at two different price points. Both lines use Gotham's state-of-the-art quality and offer professional audio performance. The cables provide perfect signal transmission with ultimate reliability (which is why they both come with a lifetime warranty!). So both cable lines deliver great results, but the Premier line adds additional features. Among other features, the Premier line has gold-plated connectors, a braided outer jacket, a Starquad construction with four conductors for powerful reduction of RFI, and the Double-Ruessen shielding provides attenuation EMI. Our Klundert Music engineers agree: there simply is no better-sounding or more reliable cable in this competitive price range.
What does StarQuad mean?
A traditional balanced cable uses three conductors to carry the audio signals: a shielded core for the hot/positive pin, a shielded core for the cold/negative leg (which is wired in reverse polarity with the positive leg), and a plain outer wrap that acts as ground. A balanced audio system effectively rejects most induced noise along the length of the cable by removing signals common to both the hot and cold legs.
The StarQuad construction goes one step further by using four cores instead of two: two cores for each of the hot/positive and cold/negative legs and a single ground. This helps shield the audio from RFI (radio frequency interference) even more than a traditional 3-core cable.
What is double shielding?
Most cable construction techniques use an outer wrap of wire as ground. Some manufacturers braid this wire, while others simply wrap the wires in a very uniform manner to shield the inner wires from electromagnetic interference.
Double-wire shielding goes far beyond more traditional techniques in two ways: first, the cable is wrapped with not one but two separate shields. Second, the outer shield is wound in opposite directions to the inner shield. This provides stronger and more complete EMI shielding for the internal cores and can result in an amazing reduction of interference. Double-Reuse shielding is a bit more expensive to manufacture, but for those who accept nothing but the best, this is currently the pinnacle of balanced cable technology.
Why use gold and silver connectors?
Precious metals are not only beautiful, some have properties that are beneficial to signal transmission. Although the actual audio transmission of gold and silver connectors is about the same (without context, silver is actually slightly better in that regard), we put gold connectors in our Premier line primarily because gold offers more corrosion resistance than other precious metals. But trust us, both Premier and Pro sound great, which is to say that these cables don't color the actual audio signal at all!
How does the braided outer wrap help?
Warm Audio uses a braided nylon wrap for the Premier line: the wrap removes the friction that occurs when rubber or PVC rub against each other, making it much easier to handle and wrap the cable. No more spaghetti fighting! Also adds an element of strength and reliability, as it helps protect the PVC jacket of the cable from damage due to pinching or binding when moving. And it just feels better (soft and smooth).
