Like the acclaimed original, the WA-C1 has a dedicated vibrato section and an always-on 100% analog preamp that adds tons of analog tone and character. The carefully designed circuit helps bring the vintage depth of modulation when it's all the way up, and also provides the WA-C1 with variable depth to dial back for subtle tones. On vintage units, "intensity" increased the speed of the LFO with the triangle waveform, affecting the BBD chip's delay time and creating a lusher tone and faster speed. The WA-C1 lets you go beyond the limitations of vintage pedals by setting more subtle depth and the same varying speeds for a larger palette of chorus sounds. When you turn on the hi-z, the chorus instantly changes from a 70s color to an 80s color, with added treble and highs. If you turn on the "high" input sensitivity, you can add headroom and clarity to the overall pedal tone. WA-C1 adds a flashing LED for effect monitoring on the front panel that shows which setting is engaged, along with the rate of modulation. WA-C1 is a 100% analog reproduction and uses premium components such as the MN3007 Xvive BBD chip.
