Black Brass consists of a 1.5mm thick brass shell and has a powerful, warm and fat sound which creates a great phhhh sound when tuned low and a powerful and sharp high slap with ring when tuned high. Because of the 42 strings this snare gives a nice and full buzz. The snare is equipped with 2.3mm flanged hoops for a nice open sound. The Tama S.L.P. Black Brass has a 1.5mm brass shell and has a fat powerful sound and warm full resonance. The snare is made for a beautiful backbeat phuhhhh when you tune it low, and a powerful resonant hit when you tune it high. The 42-strand strainer gives the snare a nice and open buzz.
