The sound of a univibe pedal is magical, full of sticky swirls and low that is thick enough to chew on, especially when used with a slightly overdriven amp. It's a sound that fascinated, and inspired, players like Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, David Gilmour and Doyle Bramhall II. Until now, the best versions of these pedals were large in size and expensive, but that has all changed now that we welcome Ultraviolet to the Strymon family!
UltraViolet is a hyper-accurate recreation of the classic vibe sound that began with the original Shin Ei Univibe in the late 1960s, but it goes far beyond that. Strymon has captured all the key interdependencies of the original components down to the smallest nuance, but Strymon has also innovated by adding a new Blend mode to the original Chorus (50/50) and Vibrato (100% wet) settings, giving you a 70/30 mix of dry and wet for a more subtle effect. Strymon has also added three different Bias settings so you can fundamentally adjust the throb and growl of the vibe sound to suit the needs of the music. Highly addictive!
