Spector USA Custom Shop LTD 5-string Doug Wimbish True Champagne Gloss

Best known as a solid band member of Living Colour, but with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Depeche Mode and James Brown on his resume, Doug Wimbish belongs in the top 10 legendary bassists of our generation. Doug has been a life-long Spector enthusiast and because of his love for the brand and with his track record, Spector has decided to offer the DW-4 and DW-5 models permanently in the USA Custom Shop program.

This is the first time Spector has included a "standard" model in the Custom Shop. But make no mistake; these DW basses are anything but standard...
The Custom Shop crafted exact replicas of Doug's modified 1987 Spector basses; from the neck contour to the specific nut width and custom EMG pickups. The DW basses are a mutual ode from Doug Wimbish and Spector to one another where the best of legacy and modern innovation come together.
And of course, like every Spector Custom Shop, these basses are built with the same level of skill, with the finest materials and in very small numbers in Woodstock, NY, USA.

And while the DW will continue to be available as 4 and 5-string versions in four colors as a standard Custom build bass, this limited True Champagne version is availalbe as a one-time only to kick-off to this unique Custom Shop line.
