The ProLite is the flagship of the Sonor collection and the latest generation of the long-running "Lite" family; the professional standard within Sonor's lineup. Crafted in Germany, the ProLite is the ultimate combination of old-school shell construction and the most modern gadgets and techniques Sonor has to offer. This makes the ProLite set truly a progressive classic!
With its ultra thin, maple shells (cross laminated with reinforcement hoops) of 4mm for the toms and 6mm for the bass drum and 45 degree bearing edges, the set is truly built for tone; open, resonant and dynamic. On the other hand, the ProLite wouldn't bear the Sonor name without featuring the most state-of-the-art hardware. With its tune-safe lugs, isolated tom suspension and handsome but above all conveniently designed bass drum legs, this is a kit you can confidently count on as a professional or demanding drummer in any situation.
The kit sounds fat but above all rich in tone. As we tend to see with more luxurious and complex sounding kits, the optimal sound result sometimes requires some tuning skills from the user, but then it really goes on the air.
The ProLite always comes as a shell kit. This 322 NM variant comes in the following configuration;
- 22x16 bass drum without tom mount
- 12x8" tom (without tomholder!)
- 16x16" floortom
