The Sennheiser MK 4 is a large-diaphragm condenser with a full and powerful sound. The microphone has a sturdy metal housing, a kidney directional characteristic and an SPL of 140 dB. This makes the microphone suitable for stage use in addition to the studio.
The Sennheiser MK 4 microphone has a 1-inch diaphragm, fitted with 24-carat gold. The diaphragm is based that of the Sennheiser e965 high-end vocal microphone but optimized for recording.
The maximum recordable sound level of 140dB makes the microphone suitable not only for vocals and acoustic instruments but also for heavy work such as: horns, overhead, and guitar amps. Furthermore, the microphone is quiet with a self-noise of only 10dB.
In the box you will also find a manual, a sturdy microphone clip, and a protective bag. For optimal recording, an optional MKS 4 shockmount is available
