The RD-2000 EX's acoustic piano sounds are, in a word, breathtaking. The acoustic sounds use Roland's state-of-the-art piano technologies and long-running V-Piano research. Partly because of this, the piano sounds and plays naturally, responsive and detailed. The separate acoustic sound generator features full keyboard polyphony, allowing you to give authentic piano performances.
The German Concert V-Piano Expansion 01, first released in 2022 as an option for RD-2000 owners, offers a versatile new sound inspired by famous concert-level grand pianos. Advanced modeling offers new sound possibilities highlighted with 17 playable Tones. The sound is organic and responsive for solo work, while also delivering power and presence to cut through a band's dense sound mixes on stage.
The newly developed Essential Upright V-Piano Expansion 02 introduces an intimate sound flavor with the distinctive character and unique spatial quality of a high-end buffet piano. The 14 preset Tones include classic sounds for pop and rock styles, along with a variety of colorful non-standard sounds.
The advanced Piano Designer tools in the RD-2000 EX allow users to customize the V-Piano sounds to their style and touch. Combined with the instrument's powerful sound layering and effects processing options, the creative possibilities are endless.
Outstanding Playability:
The PHA-50 Progressive Hammer-action keyboard, with Escapement, is perfect for playing the RD-2000's responsive acoustic and electric piano sounds. This innovative keyboard features hybrid keys constructed of wood and molded materials combined a classic feel and rugged durability. Together with Roland's advanced sensor mechanism and hammer-action design, the PHA-50 keyboard delivers the authentic touch of a grand piano. The keyboard feel is right from the first second when playing! Great for rehearsals and performances.
The Supernatural piano sounds are tremendously realistic, designed to be as realistic a representation of the original as possible, but still ready to lie nicely in the mix. The organ, rhodes and other synth and instrument sounds are also lifelike and very easy to customize with the built-in equalizer, tone designer and effects.
Very convenient for use with any DAW due to a low latency interface. Multiple outputs offer many possibilities for such things as monitoring and additional routing options.
