The Røde NTG-4 is based on the award-winning NTG1 shotgun microphone.Whether you place it directly on a camera or on a boompole, this directional microphone allows you to make highly professional sound recordings. Engage the high pass filter and the NTG4 will filter out all frequencies below 75 Hz, minimizing the capture of ambient noise such as footsteps, air conditioning and other distracting low frequencies. The difference between the NTG4 and NTG4+ microphones is in the power supply (the NTG4+ has a built-in battery, which lasts 150 hours after a charge time of only 2 hours. This battery can be charged via the included MicroUSB cable).
The sensitive and highly focused recording supercardioid condenser microphone has a robust metal construction, which makes it very suitable for intensive use, both indoors and outdoors. Should a sound source have too high a level, use the PAD knob to weaken the input sensitivity by 10 dB. It can be connected to, for example, a mixer via the XLR connection.
Note; with Red microphones, it is normal for one of the XLR pins (the ground) to stick out a bit!
