Voice separation and control in real time
Along with the release of the DDJ-FLX10 comes rekordbox 6.7, the latest version of the program that introduces a previously unavailable tool that turns any standard audio track into a viable candidate for in-depth manipulation and remixing. Real-time part separation can divide a track into three RGB color-coded parts: blue for drums, green for vocals and red for instruments. These can be switched separately at any time, and volume and FX can be muted and applied to each part, all in real time. This functionality means you can flood the drums with reverb as the track plays, or slowly blend the instrumentation and vocals into the mix as you move from one song to the next. In addition, the records light up with the color corresponding to the manipulated parts and appear white when all parts are active.DJ any way you want
Out of the box, the DDJ-FLX10 is configured for both rekordbox and Serato, which can even be done simultaneously. This means you can connect two computers via dual USB-C ports, each running one of these programs, and seamlessly switch between the two while back-to-back on stage. In addition, channels three and four can be switched between line or phono modes for turntables, and each deck has its own 3-band EQ, complete with trim controls and a 3-way source selector. For those who want to create grooves or juggle samples, a total of 16 performance pads - eight on each side - are available for hot cues, FX, sample recall, keyboard mode and more, totaling eight different options with just the illuminated performance pads alone.Sleek, informative interface design
Since the DDJ-FLX10 forgoes a conventional screen in favor of in-wheel displays, there are fewer sensitive surfaces, the overall profile is more uniform and storage and transportation are simplified. The vibrant displays display a host of information that can be toggled or changed at any time, including information about the active deck, a stacked waveform display that includes everything playing on the adjacent channel, a logo display that can be customized and an artwork display that pulls album artwork from the active track to resemble a classic vinyl experience.Total texture and FX control
Onboard FX are divided into two main categories: Sound Color FX and Beat FX. The first category consists of space, delay/echo, crush, pitch, noise and filter options, which - when turned on - can be attenuated at each channel via dedicated color FX buttons. Beat FX come in 14 flavors that can be applied to individual channels, microphones or the master output via a single control knob with satisfactory tactility. The aforementioned FX Part Select is part of this area, complete with color-coded backlit buttons for part selection. The DDJ-FLX10 also introduces the fantastic new Mix Point Link, which lets you set mix-in and mix-out points via Hot Cues, with tracks automatically starting to switch at the assigned points, allowing you to concentrate on managing FX and other creative transitions.Keep the beat in
Those familiar with the CDJ and DJM series will feel right at home, as the DDJ-FLX10 uses the same jog platters as the CDJ, including a Jog Feel adjustment knob to make them as stiff or loose as you prefer. The Loop-in/out and browser buttons are in the same positions as the DJM and CDJ-3000, respectively. Yet the DDJ-FLX10 introduces a new, dedicated 4-beat loop button, complete with division and doubling buttons to quickly adjust and assign loop points. Although the Beat Jump buttons replace the traditional Track Search, they work almost identically. Holding down the buttons searches as before, while a click makes a jump of 4 beats and a shift-click makes a jump of 16 beats.
Light up the night with ease
This controller has a dedicated DMX output and is compatible with rekordbox Lighting Mode, which allows you to control up to 512 DMX channels without additional processing hardware. Just open rekordbox, assign your lights and you're good to go. rekordbox even performs what's called "phrase analysis," intelligently mapping the dynamic range of activity for each track to optimize lighting for hype. Of course, if you prefer to create your own sequence or customize rekordbox's own intelligent light show, these adjustments can be saved for reliable, repeated use.Specifications:
