The M77 Modified O.D. from MXR is a 70's style vintage overdrive that features modern modifications for added flexibility. This pedal offers the sound AND versatility of a "boutique" effects pedal at an affordable price. The M77 delivers a wide range of highly usable sounds for every type of music and playing style. From a subtle edge with a focused EQ to a fierce overdrive with a boost in the lows and mids.
This stompbox gives you several options for tweaking guitar sound without the hassle of too many knobs and switches. In fact, the Custom Badass '77 overdrive has a simple and intuitive layout with the three standard Tone, Output and Gain knobs.
The M77 Modified O.D. makes itself unique among overdrive pedals thanks to its 100 Hz cut/boost potentiometer and Bump knob. The 100 Hz function allows you to both dial out and boost the low end. The Bump function activates an alternative EQ voicing with extra low and mids, for a full and fat sound that cuts through the mix perfectly. Ideal for the rough stuff!
