The Milab VM-44 Classic is a small diaphragm condenser microphone. The standard Classic model has a cardioid capsule. This microphone is the best-selling Milab model and a workhorse. The microphone has an unprecedented, transparent sound that excels on sources with lots of transients, such as acoustic guitar, piano or drums.
The handmade small-diaphragm condenser capsule is highly transparent and can handle transients and high frequencies like few microphones can. It has a beautifully straight frequency curve with a presence peak around 10 KHz, making the VM-44 ideal for almost any sound source, but especially for acoustic instruments. The VM-44 is just as at home in a studio as it is on stage, and its small size makes it easy to place exactly where you want it without getting in the way.
Its natural sound and discreet appearance have made the VM-44 series very popular with (TV) studios around the world. The -12 dB pad provides high SPL handling. Should you need a different pickup pattern, the microphone capsule is easily unscrewed and can be replaced with an omni or supercardioid capsule (optionally available).
