Koa is a beautiful wood that is usually used exclusively on expensive, hi-end guitars. It is a hardwood species that is very similar in sound to rosewood and especially exotic and luxurious. The 000-12E Koa has that look, but not the price! In fact, this guitar has a solid spruce top and the sides and back are solid mahogany with a Koa veneer finish.
The fretboard and bridge are made of Richlite (composite).
The 000 model may be the choice for the fingerstyle player. Because whether you play sweet songs or traditional blue grass, its specific character comes largely from the combination of its relatively small body and relatively short scale (24.9"). This makes the guitar sound nicely "boxy" and is very sensitive to dynamic playing.
The 000-12E is equipped with a Fishman MX-T pickup with built-in tuner in the sound hole, making it complete for any application in the studio or on stage!
