Since its debut in 2008, the Korg Pitchblack pedal tuner has earned a reputation as a reliable and indispensable part of any pedalboard, thanks to its high sensitivity, excellent readability and sturdy construction.
The Pitchblack Custom features the first-ever vertical visual 3D meter on a pedal tuner. The three-dimensional indicator and versatile display modes provide unparalleled readability. On top of the extremely high tuning precision of ±0.1 cents, there is true bypass which prevents any coloration of your tone. Designed with the needs of professionals in mind, you can count on years of trouble-free use with the Pitchblack Custom. The hard-wearing cast aluminum body features a DC-OUT that can be used to power other pedals. "Custom Shop", evidence of ultimate quality
KORGtuners have a 40-year history that began with the world's first tuner with needle readout. Where we have since produced many different types, including tuners with unparalleled precision and some with groundbreaking functionality, these products have been made possible by KORG's unwavering commitment to quality. In other words, our attitude of seriously listening to users' opinions, our revolutionary ideas and our high level of technological competence are what underlie the long history of KORG tuners.
KORG has now announced a lineup intended to achieve even greater innovation. The name "Custom Shop" labels this tuner as a top-of-the-line model that represents KORG's highest level of technology. The design features a beautiful meter represented by a CMD panel, extremely precise detection and careful attention paid to shape and feel. KORG's high-level technological know-how and dedication to quality have taken shape in the "Custom Shop" name.
Visual 3D meter for a revolutionary visual experience
The visual 3D meter is a prime example of the "Custom Shop" series. The large and easy-to-read note name and the clear movements of the brightly lit LEDs ensure that vocal deviations or changes are immediately visible.
Extremely high tuning precision of ±0.1 cents
Designed with the professional user in mind, KORG's Pitchblack Custom features extremely precise tuning precision with a detection range of ±0.1 cents, a level of accuracy rarely seen in pedal tuners. Musicians of all styles can now use the Pitchblack Custom to experience the same extremely high tuning precision as that of KORG's flagship model, the Pitchblack Pro.
Four display options
Choose from four different display options for the one that suits you best. In addition to the Regular A mode, you can use the strobe or half strobe mode where the direction and speed of the meter movements indicate changes in mood making even minimal changes easy to read. There is also the Regular B mode where the meter is "stacked" from the bottom up to a reference line; a mode only possible with KORG's vertical display.
A larger tuning range is available for the lower part of the meter (the lower tunings) for more user-friendly tuning.
True bypass that has absolutely no effect on your sound
True bypass design ensures that the sound is passed completely unchanged from input to output when the tuner is off. In other words, the tuner electronics do not alter, color or degrade your sound in any way. Since the input is completely muted when the tuner is on, this pedal is ideal for live situations.
A DC-out allows powering other pedals
If using the (optional) AC adapter, the DC-OUT plug can be used to power other pedals. Since a specific circuit is used for this DC-OUT, a stable and hum-free 9V, 200mA can be supplied by the pedal.
