Exceeding the limits of its compact size, the new iLoud MTM MKII offers enhanced sound and features that dramatically improve performance. The MTM MKII offers improved speaker drivers, off-axis response, power efficiency and SPL, more onboard processing power, twice as much DSP and the latest award-winning built-in ARC space correction. X-MONITOR is now integrated into the workflow, giving MTM MKII users comprehensive options to monitor and mix with confidence.
MTM MKII includes a pair of high-performance 3.5" woofers and a 1" high-definition tweeter with back-room loading and enhanced drivers. These deliver superior volume and low-end while providing greater midrange clarity and articulation. The Midrange-Tweeter-Midrange design (D'Appolito configuration) gives ultra-precise, defined, point-source sound that traditional 2-way systems cannot achieve over short distances. The result is more balanced mixes with less ear fatigue.
MTM MKII delivers even more of the legendary "iLoud physics awesome sound," with improved 36 Hz bass extension (-10 dB) and higher SPL levels. With greater bass and volume, the MTM MKII can replace much larger speakers, enabling reference-quality monitoring in even more situations.
- Lighter and stiffer mid-woofers up to 36 Hz with improved midrange clarity and articulation for more accurate mixing.
- Extended ultra-flat frequency response now from 48 Hz to 28 kHz ± 2dB compared to 50 Hz to 24 kHz ± 2 dB of the original iLoud MTM.
- Double the processing power on board at 96 kHz (versus 48 kHz), for improved transparency and resolution.
- Improved horizontal dispersion results in a wider sweet spot and smoother response in the room while controlling vertical dispersion.
- More efficient power management increases single-unit maximum SPL to 112.5 dB compared to its predecessor's 110.5 dB.
- ILoud Precision's latest ARC correction algorithms produce unmatched definition and translation reliability for a monitor of this size and price.
Calibration
The MTM MKII adds a new way to get the best sound in any room with deeper, more comprehensive ARC auto-calibration. Using technology from the iLoud Precision series, this 4-space measurement provides an unparalleled level of definition and reliable translation in virtually any environment. By connecting the included ARC MEMS microphone (included free with each iLoud MTM MKII pair or immersive bundle) to the microphone input of each speaker, users are ready to get started in minutes with the perfect sound for the room - in any room.
The MTM MKII's tight vertical dispersion minimizes the acoustic impact of desktop placement and room reflections to ensure accuracy on every project. Wide horizontal dispersion provides a wider sweet spot than the previous generation and smoother response in the room. Improved energy efficiency and greater maximum SPL also provide flexibility for FOH, immersive speaker setups or other volume-dependent tasks.
Remote control
Thanks to IK's award-winning X-MONITOR integration, the iLoud MTM MKII now offers full control over each speaker element beyond the rear panel controls. For example, X-MONITOR gives the MTM MKII precise delay compensation between units for superior stereo imaging. Users can also A/B mix by switching between virtual monitoring voices, which emulate the frequency and phase response of more than 20 top studio monitors and reference systems with breathtaking realism.
Available individually, as a pair or as an 11-speaker immersive bundle, the MTM MKII represents a significant step forward in output and flexibility to enhance sonic performance in even more environments.
