The HK Audio Sonar 115 Sub D is an active subwoofer from the Sonar series. It is a perfect complement to other speakers in the Sonar series. This sub has a power output of 1500W and a 15-inch speaker. The subwoofer is equipped with two inputs and outputs and is easy to move thanks to the handles. Moreover, casters can easily be placed under the HK Audio Sonar 115 Sub D (optionally available).

Already have an HK Audio Sonar Series active speaker? Then this Sonar115 Sub D is a perfect addition to it. You can combine the sub with e.g. Sonar 110 Xi, 112 XI or 115 Xi top. We also have excellent experience with other top speakers of other brands, this sub can be combined perfectly. Of course this sub does what it is supposed to do: add more bass to your sound. The crossover frequency of the sub is easy to adjust.
Cardioid mode:
The subwoofer has a number of presets for how you will use it. First, there is the Sonar preset; you choose that when using the Sonar 115 Sub D with top speakers from the same series. Then there are two cardioid presets. These come in handy when combining two subwoofers to achieve extra bass sound. In the cardioid setup, you ensure that the backward sound pressure of the HK Audio Sonar 115 Sub D is reduced by 30 dB. This is useful in stage applications, for example. The bass sound pressure on stage is then considerably less. This way, you can still control the low end and have control over the sub's dispersion.
Sturdy, wooden enclosure
The HK Audio Sonar sub features a sturdy wooden enclosure and a pair of cleverly placed handles for easy carrying. It also has several protection circuits to protect against overloads and short circuits, for example. The top of the sub has an M20 thread for installing an intermediate pole for a top cabinet. The sub has two XLR/TRS combo inputs and two XLR outputs to link through to a top cabinet.
