A dynamic, cardioid vocal microphone, The Fin by Heil Sound combines the classic look of a Turner microphone with the futuristic glow of four built-in blue LED lights. It is a dynamic, cardioid vocal microphone designed for recording, boraodcast and live-sound sound applications.
The microphone features a shockmounted, large diaphragm element with a 1.25" aluminum, low-mass voice coil assembly to deliver a smooth, 50 Hz to 18 kHz frequency response with a 4-kHz boost for added presence. The microphone has highly effective side and rear noise cancellation for protection from unwanted off-axis noise and feedback on stage.
The Fin Chrome / Blue features a chrome housing with a blue, molded internal foam windshield in the grille. The LED lights illuminate when via a mixer 48V phantom power is supplied through a balanced XLR microphone cable. When the LED lights are not needed, the microphone sound works fine without phantom power and with an unbalanced microphone line.
The standard microphone thread allows The Fin to be mounted on booms or floor stands. It comes with an aluminum carrying case.
