The Heil PR 22 is the dynamic vocal microphone. This PR 22 offers superior clarity, articulation and frequency response that Heil is known for compared to standard microphones. The microphone has a specially designed internal mount to reduce handling noise. The result is professional-quality sound for live sound, podcasts and recordings.
The PR-22 is a deluxe version of the PR 22 UT. In fact, the PR-22 comes with a deluxe black storage case, microphone clamp and three different microphone grilles (color: black, chrome and gold).
The PR 22 is very similar to the PR 20; the main difference is that the PR 22 uses a Sorbothane damping system in the microphone's housing to reduce handling noise at 60-100Hz. According to Bob Heil, manufacturers of other live vocal microphones roll off the response below 125Hz to dampen handling noise - but lose musical sound at the same time.
Like the rest of the Heil line of microphones, the PR22 has no output transformer. The voice coil itself provides a balanced output. Heil Sound microphones are made in the USA and carry the Klundert Music 5-year warranty!
