Gamechanger Audio's Light Pedal is the world's first optical spring reverb pedal. It offers the ability to add new sonic textures to your playing. Although at its core it has a traditional spring reverb, the Light Pedal adds an innovative array of infrared optical sensors. Those sensors target different points on the spring to create unique overtones and harmonics.
A comprehensive mixer section allows you to mix the dry, spring and optical signals to taste; six additional effects take advantage of the Light Pedal's innovative design, allowing you to create all sorts of effects. From a traditional spring sound to experimental ambient textures. Our Klundert guitarists are always looking for new inspiration and tools, and this Light Pedal provides a truly unique creative platform for tone hunters and stompbox fanatics!

The core of the Light Pedal is a traditional spring reverb with all the splashes and drops you would expect from a mechanical spring reverb. Gamechanger Audio's engineers carefully tried countless combinations of springs and input and output transducers until they found just the right flavor of metallic spring sound. Plus, the Light Pedal allows you to adjust "the drip" (seepage) with the Drive knob and shape the tone of the reverb. For example, from dark and soggy to brilliant and bold. Also, you can adjust the Light Pedal's 'shock sensor' to reduce (or turn off) the 'wet' signal when a mechanical impact is detected. Or to actually open it up for stompable tank crash effects. Sweet!
The First Analog Optical Spring Reverb
The Light Pedal is the world's first analog optical spring reverb, producing a reverb never before heard. The Light Pedal's infrared optical sensor array extracts sound from multiple points along the spring, emphasizing various harmonics, subharmonics, resonances and overtones. Dive into the Light Pedal's effects section to select specific combinations of optical sensor pairs via the optical controller and choose the right timbral and textural character to create a great sound. For musicians who like to travel the sonic outlands like us, the Light Pedal is a groundbreaking reverb pedal like no other.
Comprehensive, intuitive controls and effects
While the engineering behind the Light Pedal is deep, the controls are very intuitive and inviting. A mixer section lets you seamlessly mix dry, spring and optical signals. On top of the optical effect, the Light Pedal offers sweep, trem, reflect, feedback and harmonica effects. Sweep scrolls nicely rhythmically, bringing out different frequency responses in a modulation-like effect. Trem creates a tremolo effect by switching the sound on and off in a rhythmic pattern. Reflect is a gritty lo-fi delay that routes your instrument's signal back through the spring reservoir multiple times to create long, swelling reverberation effects. Feedback sends the spring into self-oscillation for a droning, cacophonous ambience. Harmonics uses a special circuit to create musical overtones in a similar way to shimmer effects, but produced in spring reverb.
