The EVE Audio SC3070 is a high-end 7" tri-amp studio monitor (three-way system). It uses a 7" woofer, a 4" midrange driver and EVE Audio's renowned RS3.1 Air Motion Transformer to give the fairest yet most powerful reproduction of the mix. With a fat low end rich mids and bright top end, this is a go-to monitor for many driven audio and/or mastering engineers.
One of the major advantages of the SC3070 is an extreme low-end extension to as low as 35Hz with a very sharp drop-off. This gives the SC3070 an unprecedented low-end which makes a sub not necessarily necessary. If you are looking for a way to work with one set of monitors then the SC3070 is definitely a solution.
Crossover for the tweeter, midrange tweeter and woofer is at 320Hz and 2800Hz making the best use of each driver and avoiding interference.
Read moreThe active reference studio monitor extends the existing range of three-way speakers with a smaller version. This model achieves the excellent mid-high section reproduction that our TEC Award winning SC4070 is known for with exceptional balance and low distortion across the entire frequency range, but in a much more compact cabinet. The SC3070 is the ideal solution for recording, mastering and home studios.
Drivers
EVE Audio's proprietary Air Motion Transformer RS3.1 is combined with a specially designed 4" midrange driver to give the SC3070 accurate and unhyped transmission of high and mid frequencies without fatigue. A 7" woofer driver rounds out the SC3070 by delivering accurate and powerful low frequencies.
The bass and midrange woofers are the same SilverCone drivers found in existing models from EVE Audio that have proven their worth in top studios around the world. These drivers employ a low-distortion copper-cap magnet system, which significantly reduces the distortion factor. The fiberglass-coated diaphragm material is built in a stable honeycomb structure to ensure truthful tonal reproduction.
Smart Knob
All EVE Audio monitors feature high-resolution DSP electronics. A high-quality analog-to-digital converter from BurrBrown (24bit/192kHz) converts the analog input signal delivered via RCA or XLR. The DSP provides latency-free filtering and protects the tweeter and woofers from overload over the entire frequency range. When the monitor is turned on, the volume increases slowly leaving enough time to lower the source volume if the input signal is too loud.
Adjustments to the acoustic environment can be made via the front rotary/push button, the SMART button with rotating LED ring. This knob can be used to equalize the volume of the system and adjust filters for room variables (low shelf, mid eq and high shelf filters). All settings are displayed on the LED ring, giving you instant information about the selected values. The brightness of the LED ring can be adjusted for dark studios or video applications.
High-quality Class D amplifiers complete the system and provide enough power to meet the demands of modern music production. Selected volume and/or filter settings can be independently locked with DIP switches on the back of the amplifier to prevent unauthorized or inadvertent adjustments.
