Besides several 335-style guitar, Eastman's Thinline collection offers a smaller 339-style guitar as well. The T484 has a hollow body with centre-block and resembles it's bigger brother, the T486, on many aspects. Due to the smaller sized body, the T484 is comfortable to hold and slightly lighter, but -obviously- sounds different as well; it is more direct and pointy'er and sounds less "airy" simply because the body percentage-wise is solid for a bigger part. Great for rock players who need to cut through the mix on higher gain settings, but creamy and warm as wel for blues and jazz players, expecially on the neck pickup. Really an all-round guitar. The T484 has a laminated maple body, maple neck with ebony fingerboard and Seymour Duncan Jazz and 59 Humbuckers. Straight forward specs according to tradition but with really nice details; deluxe flamed maple outer ply all around the double ivory bound body. The neck, f-holes and headstock are bound as well.
For optimal resonance of the tonewood, the T484 is finished with True Tone laquer; a very thin and acoustically transparant coat on poly urethane basis which was developed by the prestiques company of Bourgeous Guitars.
Includes the original Eastman case incl certificate.
