The SB59 is Eastman's interpretation of the ultimate vintage-style single cut with specifications and build quality that are truly impressive at this price point. Unlike the vintage true tone and antique varnish SB models, this "regular" true tone SB is not artificially aged and so those who are not into to the "relic look" might be more attracted to this version of the SB59.
The body of the SB59 is made of single piece mahogany and has a bookmatched, solid, carved flame maple top. The neck is single piece mahogany with an ebony fingerboard and Jescar Frets. The humbuckers are a pair of Classic 59's by Seymour Duncan. For optimal resonance of the wood, the SB59 is finished with a True-tone finish; a very thin and acoustically transparent lacquer based on polyurethane developed by the prestigious Bourgeous Guitars. All hardware is by Gotoh, the pots are CTS and the toggle switch is by Switchcraft.
With all these features, Eastman has a very impressive guitar on the markte in a mid-level price segment with hi-end metarials and specifications only. Pretty cool!
The guitar comes with hardcase and certificate.
