The E-series / Traditional Series by Eastman are all based on the iconic steelstring guitar from the "pre war golden-era". And so, you'll find the traditional body shapes like dreadnoughts, OM's, OOO's and OO's only for this series.
The E20D-TC marks the start of the higher-end flattops of the Eastman traditional series. It has a solid Adirondack spruce top, solid Rosewood back and side, 3-piece mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, 25.4" scale and hand carved scalloped X-bracing. TC indicates the Thermo Cured treatment where the top is being baked for an accelerated aging of the wood, resulting in a warmer, more resonant tone. It also affects the look; a thermo cured top is slightly darker compared to an untreated spruce top. Compared to the obvious -D28-, the E20D-TC has a bit more crispyness ("bells") to it's sound that you may enjoy as a rich sound to this vintage style dreadnought.
Please mind the nice details; herringbone binding, abalone snowflake inlay's, open gear tuners and traditional headstock volute.
The guitar comes including the original hardcase.
