The specifications for the Starplayer III are equal to the "regular" Starplayer, with the only exception of the flattop and back on the Starplayer III instead of being arched on the Starplayer. Other than that, both versions feature the same pickups, same hardware and same construction.
And eventhough being so alike in terms of specs, the Starplayer III actually sounds different; the thinner, flat body reduces the body volume just slightly so it sounds crispier and "pointier". It also feels smaller against your body which might make it a bit more comfortable.
