You want your kick pedal to be tight and that your kick drum doesn't move, but if you tighten it too much, you get damage to your hoop and you don't want that! That's why a lot of drummers use so called 'hoopsavers'.
We think this product is a great solution to this well-known problem. The DRUMnBASE Hoop Protect 180 (quite a mouthful) is a square rubber mat with a sticker layer on the bottom that sticks really well. So well, in fact, that when it is stuck, it hardly comes loose anymore. So stick it in place in one go, because stuck = stuck!
The advantage of rubber compared to a metal hoopsaver is that the clamps of a pedal can nestle well in the rubber. Therefore it has a lot of grip, even if you don't turn your pedal very firmly on the hoop. The mat is also stiff enough to protect the paint on your hoop.
This hoopsaver is also very affordable, so we think it's an absolute must for every drummer!
