The John Taylor signature is part of Dingwall's "Ready to Play" signature collection. That means that these basses are partially manufactured in China (like the Combustion and D-roc collections) and finished by Dingwall in Canada.
This signature, however, is far from standard. It is built to the highest Dingwall standards and with the best parts and woods imaginable for this price. It has a Nyatoh body (mahogany family), a 5-piece maple neck and fingerboard with custom 12th fret inlay.
It has the Dingwall custom shop multiscale bridge (scale ranges from 34" to 37"). Also a first on a Ready to Play bass is the state-of-the-art Rupert Neve preamp. This preamp is a newly introduced option for Dingwall's Custom Shop program, but for this occasion - since the Rio album was recorded on a Neve console - it couldn't be missing on this John Tayler bass. The preamp can be turned on and off.
Includes deluxe Dingwall gig bag.
