The guitars of D'angelico are inspiring in every way. In the first place they are beautiful to look at, but next to that D'Angelico guitars live up to all expectations with regard to sound and build quality.
The New York based guitar company has a rich history and is famous for their iconic jazz boxes. However, the current collection of D'angelico offers a wide collection of cool solid body, ES-style and off-set guitars as well.
The "Brandon Niederauer" Atlantic is a custom take on the Deluxe Atlantic. D'angelico did a limited run in 2021 to the preferences of Brandon who impressively represents a new generation of electrifying young players! So better yet; this guitar celebrates guitar playing for a whole new generation!
Apart from this model being a signature model, it just features a couple of really cool specs which interestingly deviate from the "stock" Deluxe Atlantic. Instead of an alder body, it features a basswood body. The ebony fingerboard is exchanged for a pau ferro board on this version and the pickups are a Seymour Duncan USA DA-59 neck pickup and Antiquity bridge humbucker instead of a set of Seth Lovers. The result is a completely differt tone; less output, more mids and less aggression. Definitely a more classical character, yet very musical and inspiring with a lot of ring and singing sustain.
Aesthetically, the Brandon Niederauer features satin chrome hardware, Grover locking rotomatic tuners and a very cool, energetic Sonic Blue finish.
Comes including original hardcase.
