The guitars of D'angelico are inspiring in every way. In the first place they are beautiful to look at, but next to that D'Angelico guitars live up to all expectations with regard to sound and build quality.
The New York based guitar company has a rich history and is famous for their iconic jazz boxes. However, the current collection of D'angelico offers a wide collection of cool solid body, ES-style and off-set guitars as well.
Like no other, D'Angelico knows how to give their own fresh twist to the endlessly cloned or spun-off guitar types and body shapes. The Deluxe Bedford SH, with its offset body and semi-hollow construction, immediately draws the attention; what an incredibly beautiful and sexy guitar! And not only the looks are interesting, the sound and construction are as well. With its alder semi-hollow thinline body, Gotoh tremolo and pickups (Seymour Duncan STR52 single coils and SM-1b mini humbucker), the sound is very "Strat-like", light and twangy. At the same time, the set neck with ebony fingerboard and relatively short scale of 24.75" gives an distinguised LP-like feel. And in that context, with the Bedford on your lap, the 3/3 symmetrical headstock with Grover Super Rotomatic locking tuners will give you that same feeling.
With all this, the Beford is a very versatile guitar that can be a great addition to anyone's collection; you probably don't really have anything like this yet and it will definitely give you new inspiration in your playing and sound.
This guitar comes with the original hardcase!
