The beautiful harmonies follow your vocals closely and automatically adjust to the key you're singing in. But Boss didn't stop there, the VE-22 is also equipped with excellent pitch correction. You can use pitch correction to subtly sweeten the signal or push the limits with hard-tune effects.
There's even a built-in looper with 37 seconds of recording time to further expand sonic possibilities. On the I/O side, this unit has a microphone preamp with switchable phantom power and sensitivity, an aux input, a headphone output and stereo XLR outputs. You also get a USB-C audio interface for recording directly into your DAW.
Pitch correction, harmony and much more
The Boss VE-22 lets you achieve all kinds of vocal sounds. For starters, it has a switchable harmony generator that lets you layer vocals and create lush chords that follow your vocals. There's also pitch correction to give the signal a more professional sheen. From there, you can add reverb and delay to taste. Each parameter is adjustable via the three dedicated knobs next to the screen.
Vocal effects library
Boss designed the VE-22 so you can get started right away. It comes equipped with 50 factory presets to give you a wide range of sounds to experiment with. The factory sounds range from subtle sweetness to fully computerized vocals straight out of the early 2000s. But that's not all. The VE-22 lets you create and save your own presets. Once you've created the perfect vocal patch, you can store it in one of 99 user preset slots. All this allows you to store 149 possible presets, all available at the touch of a button.
Audio interface
The VE-22 is more than a great tool for live performances - you can also use it to record your voice. The pedal has a USB-C port with onboard audio interface. When you connect it to your computer via the USB-C port, you can record performances, practice sessions or vocal tracks directly into your DAW, so you never lose anything.
