The Australian Audio CC8 is a hand-built small diaphragm, cardioid, condenser microphone from Vienna. The heart of this microphone is the OCC7 condenser capsule. The inspiration for this capsule is the legendary CK1. As a result, the OCC7 capsule delivers all the benefits of a classic design enhanced with an extra layer of innovation to meet today's expectations. Austrian Audio says it best themselves, this microphone was created by the past and built for the future.
The CC8 sounds great. Even at extreme volume, the microphone sounds open and natural. The mids and highs do not sound overdone and clear. This makes the CC8 an ideal candidate for recording primarily acoustic instruments
