The Audient ASP 880 is truly a powerhouse extension for any studio. Line out or 8 channels via ADAT you can add 8 super powerful and crisp pre-amps to your studio setup with ease. Unique to the ASP 880 is the impedance switch per channel. So for each microphone you can determine which impedance the pre-amp carries. So you can match the impedance with those nice ribbon mics, or just see how a mic sounds when we use an "incorrect" impedance. This gives you an extraordinary amount of tonal variation.
In addition, another unique feature of the ASP 880 is the insert function. Via D-sub connectors you can insert your favorite outboard gear per channel. A truly professional piece of gear.

Variable Impedance - Variable impedance lets you pre tune the impedance of the mic to your favorite ribbon mic. pre tune the impedance of the mic to your favorite ribbon mic, so you can get the punch and frequency response of the mic the mic was born with. It also works on your other mics, just more subtle. Variable high-pass filters - Take control of your signal with the variable HPF. Remove unwanted low frequencies, prevent proximity effects and boost your low end with a range of 25Hz to 250Hz. The result is a clean, recording-ready signal.
