The Arturia Keylab Essential 88 MK3 is a USB/MIDI keyboard with 88 keys and has perfect integration with Arturia software instruments such as Analog Lab and V-Collection.
The keyboard features nine faders, nine encoders and eight drum pads. These faders and pads make controlling your DAW and softsynths much more intuitive than using your mouse. Of course, the Keylab Essential 88 also works seamlessly with other software/ DAW packages. The Essential 88 comes with Ableton Live Lite for free so you can get started right away!
The eight drum pads feature RGB LEDs. This is useful when creating some more complex sequences in Ableton. You can control the transport buttons, such as play, stop and record functions, from your keyboard. This works quickly and you don't always have to reach for your mouse. A large number of DAWs even have a ready-made script for the Keylab Essential 88 MK3. So you don't necessarily have to program all the midi parameters yourself. Just select your daw, and the Keylab Essential MK3 does the rest.
When you purchase the Keylab Essential 88 MK3, you also get a license for a large portion of Arturia's Analog Lab Pro. This is Arturia's mega extensive synth and sample library where you can play everything from authentic synths to beautiful pianos and orchestral instruments.
The Keylab Essential 88 MK3 is the perfect combination of synth and piano focused keys. Whereas an authentic piano keyboard doesn't really play well for synth and other instruments, a synth keyboard again wouldn't be quite suitable for piano. The Keylab Essential 88 MK3's keyboard has found a nice middle ground in this.
