Arturia has expanded its AudioFuse series! The French company's AudioFuse X8 In and AudioFuse X8 Out interfaces are two new powerful ADAT converters. The X8 In and X8 Out expand your studio setup with eight connections analog inputs and outputs. Featuring state-of-the-art A/D and D/A converters (24-bit/96kHz). The X8 In is an 8 channel analog A/D converter and the X8 Out is an 8 channel D/A converter.

The 1HE half-rack unit integrates perfectly into your studio via an ADAT port, and optional rack ears are included to build them in. Note that you need two units to make it fully 19 inches wide to build into a 19" rack. With variable impedance options and a BNC input for word clock, the AudioFuse X8 series is the key to comprehensive, high-quality analog recording or playback.

High sound quality and flexibility
As with the AudioFuse 16Rig, Arturia has spared no expense to equip the AudioFuse X8 expanders with the very latest technology needed to keep audio processing at the highest level. For the X8 In, AKM A/D converters convert your analog signal to your audio interface, while Cirrus Logic D/A converters faithfully guarantee your digital audio as it leaves the AudioFuse X8 Out. For both units, a rear-mounted impedance switch lets you switch directly between hi-Z and 75-ohm, further extending versatility and personalization. You can use the X8 Out to achieve full Dolby Atmos 9.1.6 when used with an AudioFuse 16Rig, for example, adding multidimensional mixing and immersive sound design to virtually any studio setup.

Modular recording
The AudioFuse X8 In expander features clock, sync and channel selection, while the X8 Out has a Word, ADAT SMUX and ADAT sync option. In both cases, the built-in lighting provides visual feedback in the form of a VU meter so you can accurately track your session. With its modest shape, each AudioFuse X8 fits seamlessly into any half rack space; in addition, Arturia has included a set of removable rack ears and a mounting kit for convenient installation. That comes standard (ex-factory) smartly mounted on the bottom of the unit and you can remove it from there for use.
