The Euphonia is AlphaTheta's first DJ mixer with rotary knobs! This mixer showcases AlphaTheta's craftsmanship, merging historic interfacing with state-of-the-art 32-bit A/D and D/A converters, modern rotary faders and an advanced transformer circuit developed in conjunction with Rupert Neve Designs. Because the RND transformer was built and tuned specifically for Euphonia, it provides a detailed layer of harmonics and gives an energetic polish over your sound.

The mixer's onboard features include a comprehensive suite of per-channel equalization functions, a 3-band master-channel isolator and DJ effects. These are complemented by innovative performance tools, multiple FX sends and multimode compatibility allowing you to enjoy Euphonia's distinctive sonic character with Serato and rekordbox, in addition to classic vinyl.

The LCD display has 2 modes, one of them shows VU meters like on analog equipment, however because they are superimposed you can very easily determine your levels. In the background you see a spectrum analyzer that indicates how much you have turned away with the Isolators. The Isolators can be used in several ways, of course as a freqency isolator, but also to send certain frequency parts to the Send FX (or external effects) when you turn past the '0'.

Each channel has a Send Control with which you control how much you send to the Send FX, there are 5 Send FX: Delay, Tape Echo, Echo Verb, Reverb, Shimmer and an HPF (high pass filter). The time or effect parameter knob has for the time driven effects (Delay, Tape Echo, Echo Verb) have a mechanism which has tactile clicks while with the other effects this knob is smooth to operate. The mechanism is somewhat similar to the DJM-A9's 0-lock, you have to feel it to understand exactly what it does.

Precision, detail and feel
Euphonia effortlessly combines the iconic characteristics of analog output with the precision and clarity of the digital domain, resulting in a unique mixer that combines 32-bit A/D and D/A converters with 96kHz/64-bit floating-point DSP for rich, unparalleled sonic depth. The Euphonia is coated with elastomer to eliminate nearly all vibration while maximizing comfort and grip. The knobs have a dynamic design that adjusts behavior according to the weight applied to the rotation, meaning slower rotations are mechanically weighted to enable ultra-fine resolution in your mixes with long fades. Meanwhile, faster rotations adjust to the speed of your movements to support laser-focused, evocative expression in your performances.

Dynamic FX and innovative isolator design
One of the historic features of the rotary mixer is the isolator, and AlphaTheta has equipped the Euphonia with a master-class isolator design. The 3-band design attenuates the levels of each register, allowing you to selectively boost or attenuate the frequency band of the entire output to provide an extra dimension of mixing possibilities. But there's more. Euphonia features an array of five built-in spatialization effects - delay, tape echo, echo verb, reverb and shimmer - accompanied by a highpass filter and an external option to use Send FX. When an effect is present, activating the Isolator's 'Send' button allows you to apply your effect to that band, saturating proportionally as you keep turning clockwise. Plus, you have up to 12 decibels of boost available to boost the FX send directly, ensuring stable levels.... With one hand to apply an effect while adjusting the Isolator band, you can conjure up all sorts of new mixing possibilities with your free hand. Cool!

Comprehensive interfacing
As a tribute to the beginning of DJing, AlphaTheta has equipped the Euphonia with a list of comprehensive controls. Each channel has a Trim control, level meter, 3-band EQ, Cue indicator and Send button, and a 4-point input selector (allowing you to select Phono, Line, Digital or computer sound sources). A dedicated 2-band EQ and Level knob offer additional control over your Booth output, while the headphone output can be switched between standard stereo and a mono split. For DJs using in-ear monitors, this second option - known as "split cueing" - ensures that your cued and master output are played in mono on each ear. When it comes to monitoring your mix, Euphonia's display provides real-time feedback, with conventional VU meter readings, as well as a spectral analyzer to get a look at the behavior of your sound. They've even color-coded each channel to give you a comprehensive visualization of the entire mix, illustrating how each channel's frequency bands interact.
