This Limited Edition '60 Telecaster NOS is a beautiful vintage creation from the renowned Fender Custom Shop, known for their outstanding craftsmanship. Packed with period correct hardware and vintage sounds straight out of sixties.
This Limited Edition '60 Telecaster features the classic hardware, including vintage-style tuners, a '58-'63 Tele bridge, a bone nut, a wing-style string tree and a single-ply parchment pickguard. However, unlike many "period-correct" guitars from the Custom Shop, this Limited Edition Tele features a NOS finish. And that's just what we love about this guitar; almost refreshing among all the relics with (more or less) heavy aging! As if it is 1960 and the guitar just came fresh from the factory.
And what a beauty this Tele is! The two-piece body of selected ash is visible subtle from under the see-thru classic Vintage Blonde finish. But check out that neck, holy smokes!; made of 3A roasted flamed maple neck with a roasted flamed maple slab fingerboard (no skunkstripe). That not only looks great, but also gives that real Custom Shop feel.
The ash body with maple neck combination delivers that typical classic Fender Telecaster twangy tone and this guitar is super resonant. The profile of the neck is a Large "C" profile. This gives a somewhat chunky feel of a vintage Fender neck, but also provides a degree of stability and does not come at the expense of playing comfort. On the contrary; because of the 9.5" fingerboard radius, the guitar plays very smoothly and "fast". What a great neck!
High-output Twisted Tele pickups from Fender's custom shop deliver the classic Telecaster tone; fat and snappy in the bridge position and creamy and round in the neck position. The result is a Tele as you would hope a Tele to sound; super-responsive with a nice sparkle and very sensitive to playing dynamics. So; who is treating themselves to the Telecaster of a lifetime? This is the one!
