This threaded adapter for a microphone clamp turns a 3/8 inch thread into a 5/8 inch thread. Or the other way around of course, it just depends on how you look at it. Many microphone stands have a 3/8 inch thread. Many microphone clips and shock mounts have a 5/8 inch thread (often American brands like Shure).
