The Rode NT1 Kit is a set of the NT1 studio microphone, SM-6 shockmount and XLR cable. The NT1 microphone has been redesigned, with really only the grill being the only shared component with its predecessor, the NT1-A
The 1-inch capsule has a kidney characteristic (cardioid pickup pattern). The microphone capsule is internally suspended in a Lyre system from Rycote. The NT1's own noise (self-noise) is only 4.5 dB, which also makes it well suited for fine studio use. With a dynamic range of 128 dB, this is a widely applicable condenser microphone.
An SM6 shockmount is included with the NT1 Kit and is equipped with a pop filter (additionally attached to the shockmount). Note; with Red, one of the XLR pins (the ground pin) sticks out of the XLR a bit. This is normal!
