The built-in 6-channel mixer adapts to user preferences through Easy and Expert Modes. Users can choose between intuitive 3-band EQs or more advanced 5-way fully parametric control. An expanded effects section offers the full range of reverb, delay and dynamics processing options. Users can control all mixer and effect settings wirelessly via the app.
For stereo applications, two MAUI 28 G3 MIX units can be linked via SysLink®. In this setting, twice the number of mixer channels can be used.
Beautiful, but loud, but beautiful
With its slim and elegant design, the MAUI 28 G3 MIX looks particularly attractive. The two aluminum column elements sit on the front of the subwoofer, adding to the seamless visual impression. The columns are equipped with 12 x 3.5'' midrange drivers and 2 x 1'' tweeters, which ensure even sound distribution with constant horizontal dispersion in combination with the innovative phase plug design. In addition, the BEM-optimized waveguide - in front of the tweeters - carries the high frequencies to the back of the room.
LD Systems engineers also took great care with the crossover filter between the midrange and tweeter speakers. The goal was to reduce harmonic distortion and interference to make the sound even more transparent, lively and powerful. The result speaks for itself: highly accurate reproduction of vocals and instruments across the entire 120° x 30° dispersion field. The MAUI 28 G3 MIX columns are designed as cardioid speakers. This ensures controlled low mids at the front and up to 18 dB attenuation at the rear, resulting in a clean stage sound.
All about the bass
Equipped with a single 12'' woofer and four bass reflex ports, the MAUI 28 G3 MIX subwoofer delivers a clear, tight and punchy low to 37 Hz. By using a second subwoofer, bass response can be increased by up to 6 dB and the subwoofer can be controlled in a cardioid configuration (Cardioid preset) at the touch of a button. In addition, the subwoofer's ultra-durable polyurea coating withstands the harshest conditions on the road.
