The microphone is delivered including a microphone clamp and connection cable. The sound of the OM58 is nicely open, with a dynamic and clear sound. The microphone has plenty of body and a frequency range of 40 Hz to 16 kHz. A slight boost in the top high ensures that your voice cuts nicely through the mix and is easily understood.
The kidney (cardioid) recording pattern ensures that only your vocals are picked up and that you have little crosstalk from other sound sources around you (such as the ripping guitar amp or drum kit). The OM58's sturdy metal housing can take a beating: so it's also great for rough stage work and for sound rentals.
